The item is sealed to the recipient's public keys with a hybrid envelope — X25519 plus ML-KEM-768 (Module-Lattice Key Encapsulation Mechanism, NIST FIPS 203). The server relays ciphertext it cannot open.

Shares nobody has opened yet — the only ones you can still take back. Once a recipient adds one to their vault it is a copy under their own key, and revoking cannot reach it. A share leaving this list means they dealt with it; the server keeps no record of whether they kept it or declined it.
